OUR ACCESS STATEMENT FOR ASHLEIGH HOUSE

• Ashleigh House is unsuitable for people with mobility issues.
• Ashleigh House offers bed and breakfast guest house accommodation.
• Ashleigh House welcomes children and small dogs for a small fee.
• Ashleigh House is a Victorian Villa situated in a residential road 600 yards from the harbour at the top of a hill.
• Torquay station is located 1.5 miles from Ashleigh House.
• Torquay Coach Station is located 2.1 miles from Ashleigh House.
• The nearest bus stop is 100 yards away in Meadfoot Road.

Arrival

• Parking spaces are available in Meadfoot Lane. There is no car park. Parking requires a permit which will be provided to guests on arrival.
• There are six stone steps leading to the front door.
• Assistance with luggage is offered to guests.
• The hallway contains a small table with visitors book and tourist information. There is a night light.
• The dining room and the lounge are situated on the ground floor.
• The dining room contains a small cabinet displaying the tea and coffee selections, a buffet table in front of the large sash window, four tables and twelve chairs. There is also a marble fireplace with gas operated fire.
• The lounge contains four chairs, a sofa, a glass coffee table and four wooden cabinets. There is a wide screen |TV and a marble fireplace.
• There are four guest bedrooms. One is situated on the first floor and the other three are situated on the second floor. There are no ground floor bedrooms and there is no lift or mechanical assistance to the upper floors.
• Ashleigh House is, therefore, unsuitable for people in wheelchairs.
• Guests are given a key to their room and also a key to the front door.
