For many years Ashleigh House has been welcoming guests and in that time has established a reputation for comfort, cleanliness, hospitality and a delicious breakfast at ‘value for money’ prices. I enjoy meeting people and helping guests to make the most of their visit to Torquay. Having been local for so long, and having sampled all that Torquay has to offer, I feel confident to advise and give recommendations on the local attractions and the area. Torquay is a lovely place to live and I am very lucky to be able to walk to the beach whenever I wish which makes me feel as if I am on a permanent holiday.
A BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN VILLA BUILT IN 1852
We welcome small dogs for a small fee. We make a small charge to accommodate dogs and ask that they be kept on a lead whilst in the public rooms and not to be left unattended.
Ashleigh House is a beautiful Victorian Villa built in 1852 and is uniquely situated on a quiet residential road. Despite its quiet location, the harbour is a mere five-minute walk away. The town, with its variety of shops and restaurants, is equally close and we stand between two beaches. Meadfoot Beach is a seven-minute walk and Torquay’s main beach, Abbey Sands, is just twelve minutes away.
Ashleigh House offers four letting rooms, each decorated with quality furnishings and bed linen. We have three rooms with en-suite facilities and our large family room has its own private bathroom. All rooms have a TV with a DVD player and we provide a complimentary beverage tray which includes tea, coffee, squash, biscuits and water. All rooms have central heating and also offer a fan for those warmer summer days. Ashleigh House has a reputation for its wonderful breakfasts. We offer an extensive and varied breakfast menu and can cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. Our aim is to offer a friendly and personal service to every one of our guests.
